Career guide

Part-time sales work without prior experience.

A practical guide for adults exploring flexible, in-person sales work in the United States. Learn what entry-level field sales involves, what training can cover, and which questions to ask before applying.

What entry-level field sales can involve

Entry-level field sales usually means speaking with people in person, learning how to explain an offer clearly, answering basic questions, recording activity, and helping eligible customers complete the next step. The exact setting can be a community event, retail environment, or another approved local activation.

No prior sales experience is required for Flexora applicants. Being dependable, comfortable starting respectful conversations, and willing to follow training matters more than having a sales résumé.

What training should help you practice

Useful training should explain the current offer, who is eligible, how to open and close a conversation, which claims are permitted, how to handle questions you cannot answer, and how eligible activity is recorded. Flexora provides free training before participation.

Training does not guarantee acceptance, assignments, sales, or earnings. Ask how long training takes, whether an in-person session is available in your market, and what support is available during an assignment.

Questions to ask before applying

  • Is this an employee role or an independent contractor opportunity?
  • Where does the work take place, and is travel required?
  • How are incentives calculated, and which results are eligible?
  • Are any hours, assignments, or earnings guaranteed?
  • What product, customer, and compliance training is required?

Flexora opportunities are independent contractor opportunities. There is no guaranteed schedule, assignment, acceptance, or income.
